Troubleshooting

Laser on and not responding?

• Check the control screen on the laser for error messages.

• Check to see if the emergency stop button was pressed.

• Make sure Serial/Usb is chosen in the device setup.

 Click Devices in the bottom right of your lightburn window.
 Double click your laser in the device list.
 Click Next
 Double click Serial/Usb
 Click Next
 Click Next
 Click Finish
 You can exit the device list window and resume laser usage.

Laser isn't cutting very well?

• Clean the front two mirrors and the focus lens with a cotton swab and 97% isopropyl alcohol.How to clean the mirrors

• If that doesn't resolve the issue, it could need an alignment, which can take up to 1 1/2 hours, at that point please contact laser leadership by email laser@tcmaker.org or the laser discord channel.

Lens head extended too low can cause double image.

Laser producing double images?

• Raise the lens head as high as it will go, and raise the laser bed to the top. Raised lens:20260511 223337.jpg
